ABOUT US

Hello and thank you for visiting our site!
Fultz Forge is a family run business consisting of -Derek, Jodi, and our two children, Briggs & Renni. We create and market our products during time chiseled out of our full time jobs, youth sports, family activities, travel, camping, community events and various other interests. We always try to use recycled material whenever possible. Creating Green Art allows us to show our children what can happen with a little creativity.
Our company began in 2006 with a silly doodle on a piece of paper. Looking at the doodle, we thought, “Hey! That would be neat to make out of metal.” Having various tools around from other previous projects, the capability was there, so the creating began. Doodle after doodle turned in to beautifully crafted pieces of art. Now our designs range from fanciful, to functional, to elegant and encompass a wide range of materials from wood, to stainless steel, copper and finally hand forged iron.
Derek has been welding and building things for most of his life, spurred on by parents who could make nearly anything. If you wanted something, try to make it first, that’s just the way it was. Over the years many projects were done utilizing his Dad's fabrication knowledge and Mom's sewing skills, all the while teaching the kids a long the way.
Jodi’s Dad always taught her to do for herself. Whether in the garage changing tires/oil or roofing houses at an early age. Her involvement with the metal arts is a bit more recent. Starting as a helper early on, learning along the way, she now does her own cutting, welding, and finishing. The pride of working through the steps and finishing a piece creates a great sense of pride.
Briggs and Renni get involved sometimes too. It seems most school projects involve some work in the shop and their metal working skills are growing at a quick pace. A couple of their projects can be seen below.
Contact us to share your ideas and let our family make them come true.
